Our Pitch

Pitch One: A girl realizes that a murderer has escaped prison and is somewhere in her neighborhood.

Pitch two: two girls start to realize their house might be haunted by something sinister. 


Pitch one would be a thriller action film. We would probably make it have a lot of suspense and mystery surrounding it so its interesting. We would want to do this one because it just sounds very interesting and doable. This idea has been in my head since the beginning of the year and hopefully I can pull it off in a beautiful and conventional way. On the other hand to pull something like this off it will take a lot of time and diligence. With this being a group project it will be a little easier to  bring the idea to life. We might need a little more people but everything will definitely end up working out 

Pitch two would also be a thriller movie. The only twist is it will also be in the genre of horror to help add to the desired affect. This movie will center around two main leads and the downhill of a slumber party. This idea recently came to ming when I was talking to a friend about movie plots.  It seems like an amazing idea to start off with and something you can go in many different directions with. The issue with this is we everyone might not be okay with horror movies, especially if its leading towards ghost or demons. The idea is nice but well have to work harder on getting everyone on board. We would also need someone of affects control (cue lights, doors, etc.)

In all though, I think we're going to choose the first pitch. This idea has been in my head since the beginning of the year and it would be foolish not to carry it out into reality. Ultimately, my idea with the escaped prisoner will be the final pitch and idea and I can't wait to start filming.

Production Blog- filming day

 This blog will go over our first filming day which was on March 7th. To start off the morning i had to get up at 8:30 so i could reach Kerens house by 10 o'clock. Even with this extremely early wakeup call though i still arrived 20 minutes late. Upon arrival i realized that only me and Eric were the only ones who arrived, Mya was missing. Mya let us know that our amazon package didn't arrive at our house yet, and we needed it to film since it had our camera lenses. She said if it wasn't there soon she would start driving around to different stores in hope of finding one similar. After an hour of prepping to film with Mya still not arriving Kerens mom decided that Mya should just start coming over to the house while we drive two minutes away to the Best Buy to see if it was there.   1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? My commercial challenged conventions by exaggerating them throughout the video. Things such as theme, characters, plotlines, and mood are all used to help make a fun and family friendly atmosphere commercial. For example, including clips of my dog at the different points of the day gave the commercial a more home vlog vibe, which is what a lot of families like to do. My video helps to talk mostly animal lovers and families. It also addresses issues about finding the perfect dog collar, one that won't irritate her or other animals.   2.
