Genre Research: Action

Our first project in media studies was to choose a genre and create a powerpoint around it.We had a few options to choose from so everyone wouldn't have the same genre. Genres such as thriller, comedy, horror,  and action were all ones we could choose to do the powerpoint on. Even before we started the powerpoint we had discuss many things. Some things such as when we would work on it is a good example of what we had to discuss, especially because we we were on different schedules. The most important thing me and my partner had to do was figure out a genre that both us look would look forward to. It would've been much harder to complete the project if it wasn't something we were into. Since it was our first project together we wanted to make sure we were both happy with whatever we decided to study about. We quickly decided that both of us really like action. So, because of our interest in everything action packed, we decided that our genre powerpoint would be about action. We also wanted to have one that was really interesting, and stand out against also of the other projects. To make sure out powerpoint was as original as it could be we even went as far as to try and make it marvel themed. This decision came from the fact that we both have a love for everything marvel related, and their movies were always action packed. Just to make sure everything was equal and we both did our share we tried to break up the work equally. Common cams and clamps in our genre were placed in the powerpoint as well as common editing, sound and examples of well known movies. We also went further by including typical typical elements that action movies have that we do and don't really like. We inserted gifs to help show all the angles in the best way and also help give our powerpoint the action look we were looking for. We added transitions and nice backgrounds to help make the powerpoint appealing and enjoyable to look at. Finishing up everything was probably the easiest part of the whole thing. We inserted some background music that went with our genre and finished everything off with the last slide being about sounds typically used.
