Intro Blog- All About Me!

 My full name is Tiana Anisa Graham and I am a junior attending Fort Lauderdale High School. This is also my third year taking the Cambridge exams, and hopefully the year I successfully get my Cambridge diploma. I try to choose Cambridge classes that interest me, so when I heard about media studies I was fascinated.  Honestly I thought it would be something out of my comfort zone and something I might even end up taking as a hobby. 







Im originally from Connecticut and decided to move to Florida when I was 7 years old. While I did live in Connecticut though my mom signed me up for ballet, karate, and swimming. When I came down here I stopped all my lessons and decided to just focus on school and making friends.  Going into middle though was a big change for me, so to better adjust and hopefully meet new people I decided to join after school clubs. 






Speaking of hobbies though I am apart of a few different clubs, one I'm specifically proud of is marching band. In marching band I do color guard, and this year will be my 3rd year apart of the team. This will also be my 1st year as captain and taking up the leadership position. Although this takes up a lot of my time I still decided to join another club called bloom, which is a club meant to help support and uplift females in our school. While I chose not to take a leadership position in this club I have been a strong member for the last 3 years, and I try to volunteer and help out as much as I can when I'm free.








I have a dog named penny, who's a cocker spaniel and is 6 years old. My mom got me her in 5th grade and we've been best friends ever since. 


 Im 16 years old and my birthday is on March 17th, St.Patricks Day. My favorite color is blue, and I often wear it when I'm going out with friends and family. Both my parents are Jamaican and because of this we eat a lot of Caribbean cuisines. 






Besides school hobbies I also like reading books, my favorite has to be daughter of the deep silence. Another hobby would also have to be getting my nails done, before the pandemic I don't think anyone has ever seen my nails not done since the 6th grade. Baking is also something I like doing on my spare time, baking things suck as cookies, cakes, and brownies is something that helps me relax and unwind.

Production Blog- filming day

 This blog will go over our first filming day which was on March 7th. To start off the morning i had to get up at 8:30 so i could reach Kerens house by 10 o'clock. Even with this extremely early wakeup call though i still arrived 20 minutes late. Upon arrival i realized that only me and Eric were the only ones who arrived, Mya was missing. Mya let us know that our amazon package didn't arrive at our house yet, and we needed it to film since it had our camera lenses. She said if it wasn't there soon she would start driving around to different stores in hope of finding one similar. After an hour of prepping to film with Mya still not arriving Kerens mom decided that Mya should just start coming over to the house while we drive two minutes away to the Best Buy to see if it was there.   1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? My commercial challenged conventions by exaggerating them throughout the video. Things such as theme, characters, plotlines, and mood are all used to help make a fun and family friendly atmosphere commercial. For example, including clips of my dog at the different points of the day gave the commercial a more home vlog vibe, which is what a lot of families like to do. My video helps to talk mostly animal lovers and families. It also addresses issues about finding the perfect dog collar, one that won't irritate her or other animals.   2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text? My product engages with the audience by talking directly to them throughout the entire video.
